Insurance Policy

I do not take insurance.  I use evidenced based assessment methods, current research and guidelines, information I gather from you, age of the child, and my clinical experience to decide the best assessment tools to administer, the time needed, and the best course of action for an assessment to best understand and support your child rather than insurance dictating the best course of action.

However, I am happy to provide a superbill (a receipt of the testing used and the appropriate insurance codes) for you to submit to your insurance company to see if they will reimburse you for out-of-network fees.   Some insurance companies do not provide any reimbursement and some provide partial reimbursement. I am happy to provide more information about this during the initial consult.

Payment Terms and Methods

The initial 15-minute consultation is free to decide if this would be a good fit.

Based on the initial consult, I provide a total cost and anticipated amount of time to bill for the assessment.

50% of the total payment is due prior to the initial clinical interview with caregiver.

50% of the total payment is due prior to the feedback session with the family.

Carlsbad Assessment Center for Children accepts cash, check, Ivy Pay, HSA/FSA and all major credit cards.

A detailed bill can always be provided for you to be able to submit to your insurance company to see about potential reimbursement directly.
